Backgrounds for Dragon-Blooded

Allies

Allies are friends and companions who aid in tasks. The Allies Background should not be used to represent other player characters. Each dot of Allies represents one Ally of power comparable to yours. If your character purposely neglects or mistreats their Allies, they may abandon or turn on your character. A character who wishes for more powerful Allies may be required to purchase a higher rating in this Background.

Arsenal

Arsenal represents a magical item or items on loan to your character from someone else, typically her Great House, the Scarlet Throne, the Immaculate Order, or the General Staff of Lookshy. Unlike the Artifact Background, items in the character's Arsenal do not actually belong to her. She cannot give away, sell, damage, use up, or allow any items in her Arsenal to be destroyed or stolen -- if she does, she will face serious consequences. A Storyteller should not allow a character to purchase single-use items with Arsenal.

All spells provided by this Background are of the Terrestrial Circle. If the character did attend the Heptagram she must select Emerald Countermagic as her first spell. If the character wishes to know Demon of the First Circle she must also start with Emerald Circle Banishment. Most teachers will encourage students to learn the spells of the Black Treatise, which are commonly viewed as the five most useful spells. (Emerald Countermagic, Demon of the First Circle, Invulnerable Skin of Bronze, Infallible Messenger, and Stormwind Rider)
