Fire Charms -- Dodge
[Element] Warding Stance

This Charm allows a Dragon-Blooded to ignore all environmental penalties to his Dodge DV. It also allows him to use Dodge as a valid defense in situations where dodging would normally be impossible or invalid, such as being backed up against a wall, balancing on a slender tree branch, or up to one's knees in quicksand. Additionally, this Charm provides one of the secondary elemental effects listed below.
Air allows the character to briefly disperse into wind or ball lightning. He can apply his Dodge DV to attacks that would normally be undodgeable due to an area of effect component. Earth allows the character to stand his ground, undaunted. He suffers no onslaught penalty from the attack. Fire deals 2L damage to the attacker as the character's body bursts into a cloud of burning ash. This is an unblockable, undodgeable counterattack. Water grants the character speed and unnatural fluidity, removing any Accuracy bonus (including those gained from the Magical Materials) from the attacker's weapon. Wood allows the character to bend like a reed before the storm. He calculates his Dodge DV as [Dexterity + Dodge]/2 + [Essence].

This Charm allows a character to move as part of a successful Dodge. When the character uses his Dodge DV to successfully avoid an attack, he can activate this Charm to instantly and reflexively take a Dash action. Typically he will move away from his attacker and render further melee attacks invalid (though nothing prevents him from using this Charm to close to melee with an archer).
Protection of the [Element] Dragon

Dragon-Blooded use this Charm to protect their allies from harm. The ally the character intends to protect with this Charm must by with in the character's [Dodge + Essence] yards. Additionally, this Charm offers no protection against undodgeable attacks. The Exalt's player first rolls [Dexterity + Dodge + Essence], even a single successes redirects the attack and makes him the target. The Dragon-Blooded's successes on this roll subtract from his attacker's, and if they exceed the attacker's successes, the attack misses him as well. This Charm provides a secondary elemental effect as described below.
Air allows for truly far-reaching protection. The range of this Charm is increased to [Dodge x Essence] yards. Earth Aspects are eternally vigilant. No roll is required to redirect an attack, as long the character's target is in range. Fire fills the character with a a burst of energy. The character rolls [Dexterity + Dodge] + [Essence x 2] to redirect and dodge the roll. Water draws the violent momentum of massive attacks down into the infinite body of the Water Dragon. The character may use this Charm to respond to area of effect attacks, protecting up to [Essence - 1] additional targets after the first. Wood allows the character to redirect an undodgeable attack to himself, though the difficulty of doing so is five and this Charm provides the character with no protection once the attacks is redirected.

This Charm allows a Dragon-Blooded to change the intended target of an attack directed at him. The character can redirect missile attacks, but not attacks with an area of effect. When he becomes the target of an attack, he may roll [Dexterity] + [Dodge] + [Essence] at difficulty 4. If he succeeds, he redirects the attack to another valid target within [Dodge] + [Essence] yards.

This Charm surrounds the Exalt with a howling aura of raw elemental energy. This aura obliterates any personal scale non-magical missile attack, as the projectile is consumed in the howling gale of power. Additionally, the aura projects an environmental hazard that extends [Essence] yards from the Exalt. This aura deals 2L/action (4L/action for the Fire version) and Trauma: [Essence]. Finally, the aura provides an elemental effects as described below.
Air buffets and hampers any close range attacker, inflicting a -2 penalty on hand-to-hand attacks. Earth hardens the character's skin and provides +8B/+4L soak. Fire deals increased damage to attackers as described above. Water totally neutralizes any fire-based attacks and reduces the damage of all attacks by 1. Wood saps energy from consumed projectiles, providing the character with one mote of essence each time the aura negates an attack. Attacks that would have failed to harm the character anyways, or attacks made by allies do not trigger this essence recovery.

This Charm allows a Dragon-Blooded to counterattack as part of a successful Dodge. When the character relies on his Dodge DV, a failed attack allows the character to activate this Charm to make a reflexive counterattack against his attacker. This counterattack uses his full dice pool. Counterattacks cannot be launched in response to counterattacks.

This is a cluster of five Charms, representing the closest a Terrestrial can come to a Celestial's perfect defenses. This Charm functions as a perfect Dodge, even against attacks that would normally render it invalid. Like it all perfect effects, it suffers from a Flaw of Invulnerability. Air is vulnerable to Earth-aspected elemental attacks and melee attacks made with weapons that carry the Overwhelming tag. Earth is vulnerable to Wood-aspected elemental attacks and ranged attacks made with wooden projectiles. Fire is vulnerable to Water-aspected elemental attacks and will not function if the character is immersed higher then his knees in water. Water is vulnerable to Air-aspected elemental attacks such as lightning or extreme cold. Wood is vulnerable to to Fire-aspected elemental attacks.
