This Charm expands and improves Pasiap's General Charms and Abilities, granting them additional elemental effects. These elemental effects apply only to Integrity or when the character enhances an Integrity roll or stunt. In order to gain this Charm's stunt-enhancing benefits, the action must have been a valid target for [Dragon's] Essence Overwhelming.

Air is perfection. The character converts stunt dice into automatic successes. Earth is indomitable. The character doubles Willpower and (if applicable) Experience rewards from stunts. Fire is greedy. The character doubles the mote rewards gained from stunting. Water is balanced. The character regains both motes and Willpower from a stunt, if possible. Wood is a living thing. The character regains health levels equal to the stunt's rating.

Using this Charm, a Dragon-Blooded can purify and refine his Essence, gaining a closer connection with the Immaculate Dragons. To use it, the character must retreat from civilization during the season that matches his Aspect. He must go to a place of elemental purity and power and immerse himself in the essence of his Aspect. An elementally aspected manse with a rating of ●●●+ is sufficient for this, and the Scarlet Empire maintains multiple retreats solely for the purposes of this Charm. During this retreat, he must spend eight hours a day in contact with his element, another twelve in purifying meditation on the nature of his Immaculate Dragon, and four hours sleeping. Assuming he diligently spends the entire season this way, he emerges with his Breeding increased by 1. Raising a character's Breeding in this fashion costs three experience points. A character be unable to pay goes into experience debt.

This Charm cannot raise a character's Breeding higher than both his [Essence] and [Integrity]. If the character is blessed with a high Breeding as a result of his fortunate birth, this Charm will has no effect unless the character's [Essence] and [Integrity] are greater then his Breeding.

This Charm provides a Dragon-Blooded with a deeper connection and understanding to his element and the will of the Immaculate Dragons. The character gains an additional Essence Pool containing 10 motes. This Essence Pool can only be filled by absorbing essence from an appropriately Aspected Manse or by absorbing/generating motes through Elemental Empowerment Meditation. Motes from this pool are extremely pure and highly resonant with the character's Aspect. They can only be spent on in-Aspect Charms. At each point of permanent Essence above 3, the character increases the capacity of this pool by 5 motes.

Each day after this maximum causes the Dragon-Blooded to lose one temporary Willpower per day, this lost Willpower cannot be recovered until the Exalt has slept for eight uninterrupted hours.

This Charm empowers the Dragon-Blooded to better carry out their role as Creation's defenders. The Exalt treats time spent in contact with his element as sleep for all recuperative purposes. The character even has dreams, experiencing them as vague whispers from Immaculate Dragons that do not interfere with his waking perceptions. As an additional effect, contact his element allows the character to rapidly recover from fatigue penalties. He removes a -1 fatigue penalty at the end of each of his actions, or a -1 penalty every six seconds when out of combat time.

For the purposes of this Charm, contact with the element of Air requires the character to be flying (under his own power or in an airship) or in an appropriately windswept location, such as a mountain peak, rooftop, or balcony. Contact with the element of Earth requires the character to be standing on the ground or the lowest floor of a building. Contact with the element of Fire requires the character to be within a raging inferno (although some calamitous war zones might qualify at the Storyteller's discretion), a heat-based place of desolation (such as a desert), or to have activated his Essence Fire ability. Contact with the element of Water requires the character to be on a sailing vessel, swimming, or at least waist deep in water. Contact with the element of Wood requires a suitably verdant location, such as a forest, dense jungle, or treetop city.

At Essence 4+ this Charm functions in any world, so long as the location meets the rough requirements described above.

This Charm allows a Dragon-Blooded to reinforce his loyalties with magic. The character must target a group, a nation, a blood relative, or his sworn brotherhood and swear an oath of loyalty to them. There is no limit on the size of a group, but there may be dangers in becoming supernaturally loyal to very large populations. A character who has purchased this Charm can swear up to his [Integrity] in additional oaths, at a cost of 1XP each.

The character gains an Intimacy of loyalty to the target of this Charm. This Intimacy cannot be degraded or removed by any means. When the Dragon-Blooded is confronted with social attacks that would go against his loyalty to his chosen group, he adds his [Integrity] to his MDV. This explicitly does not count against the limits that may added through Charms. Unnatural mental influence that would force him to betray his chosen group or ally is treated as unacceptable orders.

This Charm can be purchased any number of times, with each purchase extending the number of magically reinforced loyalties the character can possess. While it is impossible to remove an oath that has becoming inconvenient, the Storyteller should allow a character to reassign or modify an oath that has become invalid, irrelevant, or nonsensical over the course of a campaign.

Dragon-Blooded use this Charm to draw strength and power from their connection to other Dragon-Blooded. For the duration of the scene the Dragon-Blooded can declare a new Intimacy for himself: loyalty to any other Dragon-Blooded. If the other Dragon-Blooded is a blood relative, a member of the character's sworn brotherhood, or someone the character has met even once, they need not even be present for the character to reinforce his loyalties. The character may also dedicate an Intimacy to any Dragon-Blooded in the immediate vicinity, even if they have never met or have no previous connections. The mere presence of another Terrestrial is a source of comfort and strength. This Charm can maintain additional Intimacies equal to the character's [Conviction + Essence].

This Charm allows the character to commit himself to a magically reinforced oath. The oath must be something clearly defined and achievable ('Avenge my father's death', 'Slay the Anathema who toppled my House') and it cannot be a trivial or fleeting matter. The Storyteller has the final say on what oaths are suitable to the power of this Charm. A character may not swear multiple oaths. Swearing this magically reinforced oath on the name of one of the Dragons provides several benefits, regardless of which Dragon hears his words and sanctifies them.

First, the character gains an unbreakable Intimacy to fulfilling the oath. He treats any form of compulsion or mental influence that would cause him to abandon or forsake his oath as unacceptable orders. Secondly, as long as the character is acting directly in service to his oath, he need not eat, sleep, or rest. Finally, the character can soak lethal damage with his full [Stamina] and adds his [Integrity] to his lethal and bashing soaks.

A character who knows multiple versions of this Charm may call upon as many Dragons as he wishes. Depending on which Dragon (or Dragons) accepts his oath, the character gains additional benefits.

Mela reduces the cost of all Charms (including Sorcery) by 2m, 1W, to a minimum of 1m, 0W. Pasiap increases the character's Bashing, Lethal, and Aggravated soak as well as his Hardness by his [Integrity + Essence]. This supersedes the effect described above. Hesiesh grants [Essence] in bonus dice to all actions taken directly in pursuit of the character's oath. These dice count towards the limit that may be added with dice. Daana'd's fluid, adaptive nature increases the difficulty of all attacks that target the character directly by his [Essence] and reduces all damage taken by 1. Sextes Jylis multiples the character's healing rate by his [Essence + Integrity] and renders him immune to non-magical poison and disease.

The terrible wrath of the Elemental Dragons falls upon failures and oathbreakers. Should the character fail in his duty or willingly turn his back on his oath, he suffers five unmitigatable levels of aggravated damage as the elements themselves flense his unworthy soul. If the character invoked multiple elements with his oath, he suffers this damage once per element.

Should the character ever fulfill his oath, he experiences a rush of euphoria that restores all of his Essence Pools, Willpower, and Virtue channels. A character can benefit from the effects of this Charm no more then once per story.
